Stuck on verification of the Trial package

I don't really know what else to say. I updated my mac to the latest one (Capitan) and proceeded to download the trial for Final Cut Pro X. But when I opened it, the installer gets stuck on verification. It doesn't load whatsoever, it's just sitting there at 0% and wont do anything. I've turned off the certificate things in Keychain Access and it didn't help, I ejected deleted and reinstalled the dmg but then it doesn't recognise the "disk image" and won't open at all. It goes between these two errors every time I re-download, the verification not working and the disk image not working. Any ideas? I just want to make a **** 5 minute video for a friend, why is this so hard.
